As we continue to learn the story of Purim, there is a lot of acting out the story, dressing up and puppet shows going on in the classroom.

On Friday we celebrated Jojo's third birthday. 

May he grow to be a happy and healthy boy, giving much nachas to his parents and family.

Getting ready for Purim

"The Feelings Canvas"

We started the week with an expressive art experience.

First we played calm music and asked the children how that made them feel, afterwards, each child showed how that soft music made their body feel and move. Next we put some faster and happier music and watched how that changed our mood, and the way our bodies moved. 

Following that, the children used the dripping technique to splatter on the canvas while the music was playing , and moved according to how that made them feel. :)

Purim

This week we began our Purim exploration!

Together, the children helped put together a backdrop for our Shushan Palace, and Mordechai's house.

They painted the bricks shiny for the palace..

The highlight of the week was the Tumble Bus!

Class Pet:

The friends were thrilled to welcome a new pet into the classroom. The children were so excited when Morah Mushka opened the box for the first time when they saw that there was a "fuzzy" guinea pig inside!

Together we found the perfect spot for it, and our friends helped make his new home cozy and decorated and out toys and food for him. 

Its great to see the children caring for it, coming in to see our pet everyday and making sure he eats and stay warm.
